Puppies selling
Dog owning has gained a large amount interest in Nepal. Increasing number of people are now buying and raising dogs. Examining the growing interest of people and the demand for various breeds, Mount Everest Kennel Club sells all the breeds which are available in Nepal. It also guarantees the purity of the puppies’ breeds. 40% of the dogs are imported from India whereas the remaining 60% are bred in the kennel club itself through mating of male and female of the same breed. If you want to buy a puppy, it is mandatory that you book the breed that you want. On the spot selling is not in the club’s policy. In case the club does not have the breed that you require, it also has the provision of making arrangements to make it available for you. If the puppy that you have bought from the club dies within 3 months, you get 60% off on buying a new puppy.

Mating
If you want to see the litter of your dog’s puppies yapping and playing around the house, the club also has the provision of the mating of dogs during the season. The club ensures that males and females of the same breed are mated to procreate puppies of pure breed.
Dogs are mated within 14 days of coming to heat. Therefore, it is essential that those who want their dogs to reproduce have to inform the kennel club within 5-6 days of their dog coming to heat.
The club charges NRs. 1000 in addition to 1 male puppy (which is born) for mating.

Training
How many of you have brought home a puppy in the expectation that it will do as you say but as it grows becomes increasingly stubborn and disobeying? In such case, it is important that your dog as well as you receive the basic obedience and dog handling training which socializes the dog to the day to day activities at home and which enables you to handle your dog properly.
Like a child, your puppy too needs to be socialized from an early age so that future problems such as aggression towards people and other dogs can be avoided. It is actually the responsibility of the dog-owners to ensure that their puppy starts getting its socialization from the day it comes home. An inadequately socialized dog will never follow your command. However, socialization is not enough. In order to make your dog do as you say, it is necessary to be a good “pack leader”. Since dog’s live in hierarchal packs, they only follow the instructions of the pack leader who possess more power than others.
The Mount Everest Kennel Club offers a two month package of the basic obedience and dog handling training which not only makes your dog compliant but also make teaches you how to be a good pack leader. The training has two stages: the socialization part and the theory part. The socialization part familiarizes the dog to its environment whereas the theory part teaches the ways to become a good pack leader. The training, conducted by well-trained professionals, can take place at the club itself or at home for six days a week. The total charge for the two month training is NRs.8000.
Additionally, when you take home a puppy from this club, you can demand for a once a week visit from a pet counselor to give you guidance for good care taking.
House call
There are numerous times when your dog cannot be taken to the kennel club for every minor reason. If any problem occurs, you can contact the club through telephone and we will send trained vet technicians, who work under the supervision of veterinary doctor. Since vet technicians are stationed on each of the 18 blocks the valley has been divided into, the one nearest to your house will be sent right over once information is received. If the problem is minor, then it will be handled by the technicians themselves. Otherwise, the problem is relayed to the vet. If necessary, the dog will be brought to the clinic. Each time there is a house call, you will be charged NRs. 100. Medicine expenses are extra.
“DUI GHANTE SEWA” (2-hour service)
Mt. Everest Kennel Club has a special package- “DUI GHANTE SEWA” which guarantees door to door treatment within two hours of case registration. The information will be entertained through Club’s toll free number 16600-1-98510 from 7AM to 1PM. As soon as information is received in the central office, well trained vet technicians who work under the supervision of an experienced vet will come to your door step within two hours for treatment. However, emergencies will be dealt with 24 hrs. We would like to request dog-owners to call the central office and not individual technicians for the efficacy of this service.
Medical Facilities
Mount Everest Kennel Club has multiple medical facilities such as OPD, surgery and hospitalization. Performed by well qualified vets, these facilities are available in the Club premises itself.
Check up in the clinic is open for 24 hours. However, doctor is only present from 10 am to 6 pm. The club has adopted a pre-appointment system for the convenience of dog owners so that they do not have to queue up and wait hours for their turn. Emergency cases are also handled and given priority. The charge for general check up is NRs. 150. The club is also well-equipped for surgery, if needed.
In rare cases, your dog may require to stay in the club for further treatment. The club also has the provision for sanitary hospitalization. However, the bed is limited in order ensure quality treatment of your dogs. The boarding charge is NRs.350 per day.
Vaccination
Like children, your dog too requires vaccination which needs to be repeated from time to time. The vaccination schedule for your dog is as follows:

It is a matter of grave importance for the dog owner to know about the quality of the vaccines that is being used on their dogs. Since vaccination is a very sensitive matter, it is important that the dog look examine the quality rather than the price. It is mandatory that the vaccines need to be refrigerated between 2 degrees centigrade to 8 degrees centigrade before being used. Otherwise, the effectiveness of the vaccines is reduced. Therefore to preserve the quality of the vaccines, the club refrigerates all the vaccines before being used. A generator back-up is also available in times of load-shedding.
In terms of the rates, the DHPPiL and Corona Virus vaccines cost NRs.500 per shot whereas the Anti-Rabies vaccines are priced at NRs.200 per shot.
Lab Diagnosis
In rare cases, there may be a medical problem in the dog which cannot be uncovered through general check-up. In such situation, many tests such as urine test, blood test, etc may be required for the further diagnosis of your dogs. Mount Everest Kennel Club has a well-equipped pathology lab which performs various tests such as hematology test, skin test, biochemical test, bacteriology test, antibiotics sensitivity test, stool test, urine test and so on. This ensures the complete diagnosis and treatment for your dog’s illness.
Dog Food Sales
Since many of the dog owners find it pretty difficult to determine the taste of their dogs, they feed them with dog food. Mount Everest Kennel club sells Smart Heart dog food which is especially imported from Thailand in order to maintain quality. There are two ranges of this dog food: one for the puppies and the other for the adult dogs. For the puppies, the dog food comes in the packages of 2kg, 3.5kg and 10kg. As for the adults, the sizes of the packets are 3.5kg, 7kg and 20kg. The sole business partner of Smart Heart in Nepal, the club gives 100% guarantee your dog will eat this dog food. If not, then you can return even the open packet.
Kennel Boarding
It is necessary for dog owners to understand that leaving their dogs for a prolonged period of time will cause various behavioral problems in their dogs. Hence, if an owner is going for a holiday or for work for a certain time, it is important that they leave their dogs in a place where they are around people and are well taken care of. If none of your friends or relatives is willing to keep your dog while you are away, the Club also has boarding facilities. The charge of boarding is Rs. 300 per day.
